Binding tight; but endpapers starting to tear at joint. 3" tear on front endpaper mended with tape. Notes written in pencil on last few blank pages. Pages clean and bright, no other markings. Interesting Victorian era book on women's reproductive health. Some of the science is surprisingly forward, then you have such as this example regarding the condition of the mind affecting a woman's pregnancy: "A mother seeing a criminal broken upon a wheel, gave birth to an idiot child, the bones of which were similarly broken . . . A man who personated a devil, went to bed in an assumed dress. His wife bore a child that had cloven feet and horns."
