Shallow fraying at ends of spine, corner tips. Binding quite firm; hinges sound. Light scuffing on cover. Foxing on tissue guard and two preliminary pages; otherwise pages quite clean, bright. Previous owner's name written on blank flypage dated 1872, which is inconsistent with the date of publication (1881).
