Title page vignette, plus 4 plates, engraved by Illman & Pilbrow. Gilt lettering worn, but present. Binding solid, though cords are visible at endpapers. Cover quite chipped at edges, corners; bottom 2 inches of backstrip absent. Several generations of previous owner's names written on endpapers, flypages, last page. Front free endpaper torn, but complete. Moderate foxing throughout (inc. plates), though pages bright & quite legible. Damp stain at rear endpapers and upper corner of last 30 pages. Cover rather homely, but interior in decent condition. Packaged with care and shipped in a box. 27030
